you,
you don’t like my words
turning,
over in my blanket
it’s the feather in my pillow
makes me feel like a dove
tell me what you see when you look at me
do you see love
weeds,
weeds grow just like roses
birds,
birds sing like pianos
it’s a rock you can’t skip
while you stand on the bank
tell me what you see when you look at me
say what you think
you,
you don’t like my words
turning,
over in my blanket
it’s a teardrop in your eye when you
just have to wink
tell me what you see when you look at me
say what you think
tell me what you see when you look at me
say what you think
tell me what you see when you look at me
say what you think
you,
you don’t like my words
turning,
over in my blanket\
I think this one is a definite keeper. The repitition of “words turning over in my blanket” and “tell me what you see when you look at me” works here, definitely works.
