“D-Nile” – Poem By: Heather Whitley Gibson

Comes in colors of pale
three shade of pale
utility, love and death
all hands grasps,
at water, or sand
naturally would sift threw
and be gone
each chose at the edge of d-nile
a bucket, a container, a shovel
something to bring from our hands
to our mouth, water or the earth
to eat or drink
three colors of pale

A truly resonating poem and image expressing how we so often deal, in “d-nile” with utility, love and death!
