“Cover To Cover” – Song By: Ronnie and Heather Whitley Gibson

upside down hanging from trees
the air that you breathe, your heart won’t skip a beat
the center of paintings that stare
with the rising sun sleepy eyes start to glare

losing my sight walking at night
penetrate the dark with candle light
cover to cover

puffing cigarettes
a moment in time when a man loses his wife
a ham on the table
you think your smart, it is raining outside

one drop of rain, a tear from the sky that’s giving
beautiful, it is the sweet that is forgiving
cover to cover

laying on blankets of grass
wonderful, ugly, and fair
the needle draws the blood
the uncomfortable weight of a stare

not to feel the pain that makes you cry
smoke from a chimney means there’s fire

like a good book read cover to cover
like a good book read cover to cover

“Walking The Line” – Song By: Ronnie and Heather Whitley Gibson

Suddenly forever works
living rings hoping to stay
stems of flowers
pictured hands
until the end of day
endings muted
moments last
seeding in each other
river boat moves in plain air
fluted vows uncluttered

comfortable the words spoken
rambling and unabridged
watching eyes that start to widen
listen to your every word
sun spread folded hands forever
fastened in a black dress
wild rose weeds and bright blue sky
make both of us breathless

laughing, talking, overlapping, no forecast
conversation and a radio that blasts

a clock that has no face
will never tell you time
I say your name in stories
and all the stories rhythm
when I found you it was like
treasures people find
and I don’t mind
walking the line

Pluck a flower from a field
and plant it with a weed
right before you get a flower
you will have a seed
a paper moon that’s in the sky
and a stolen kiss
gentle touch and soothing words
I knew I needed this

Love’s the greatest instinct, follow with your heart
please grow old with me today we’ll make a start

I close my eyes, I take a breath
and then I pluck a kiss
unattainable longing
subtlety and bliss
loving has the power
that’s expensive and complete
it’s so very fine
walking the line

Standing on a mountain top
your head is in the clouds
hearts that flutter
blood that runs
eyes never look down
shining eyes that sparkle
smile threw a bearded cheek
hold on tight to what you have
a nowhere man is weak

I close my eyes, I take a breath
and then I pluck a kiss
unattainable longing
subtlety and bliss
loving has the power
that’s expensive and complete
it’s like a fine wine
walking the line

sun spread folded hands forever
fastened in a black dress
wild rose weeds and bright blue sky
make both of us breathless

“Elephant Ears Missing” – Song By: Ronnie and Heather Whitley Gibson

This is a new version of an older song of ours that was popular when it first came out and really got us a lot of attention from a lot of people. When we did this song we realized we could write songs in any genre we wanted and that we would. This is a really good version of this song that we worked very hard on and it was well worth the wait. Enjoy!

he unforeseen, folded and creased
the unforeseen, folded and creased

he smell himself, his shelling skin
molting snake, lashed, drying stems
swollen morning, eyes, crusted gems
rose colored cake, half mooned, stars pinned

the icing, butter churned race
where mercury melts, small signature slips
where blood once flowed, and flies bit
his elephant ears missing
his elephant ears missing

bloated and salted, Wednesday sun
an outpost, a harpoon sky
rebuilds a break, tattoo revised
stolen poems

watery lines, diseases left out
river chimes, one slow guitar
words undone, time dawned domain
his elephant ears missing
his elephant ears missing

a sewed costume, a hanging spoon
what an elephant hears
what an elephant hears

roles renamed, fingers shared hands
so brittle they play, together dis banned
the licensed, and unarranged
missing elephant ears

hovering, in post pone rain
breath cradled, the pro paned pain
thickness of snow, moaned and moved
elephant ears missing
elephant ears missing

what an elephant hears
what an elephant hears
what an elephant hears
what an elephant hears

the unforeseen, folded and creased
the unforeseen, folded and creased

“Filling Up The Sky” – Song By: Ronnie and Heather Whitley Gibson

Mountains and parachutes
a dagger in the sand
a circle with no connection
you will understand
each note it touches, is
upside down
each time that I was up
I’m falling upside down

the trouble is
your always around
who said it once
who said it twice
who wears the crown

there is five notes
I feel that I’m going nowhere
black smoke is filling up the sky
choking the air

we do not admit, we
do not see
please pick up the pieces
we feel were flying free

and if you miss
the circle in the sky
there are no answers
and you will wonder why

you can count forever
and never reach the end
backwards and forwards
death never does pretend

the trouble is
your always around
who said it once
who said it twice
who wears the crown

there is five notes
I feel that I’m going nowhere
black smoke is filling up the sky
choking the air

Mountains and parachutes
a dagger in the sand
a circle with no connection
you will understand.

“Tips” – Song By: Ronnie & Heather Whitley Gibson

open your hands to receive loose change
tips are scattered on the ground, tips are rearranged
the tip of your tongue, tipping your hat
the tip of a dogs tail, the same with a cat
the tip of your fingers wipe your eyes
living by guidelines, tips from signs
the tip that gives information
moving to the past, tip of creation

tip of the needle stabs the skin
connected to a tip showing where you’ve been
before the very end the tip comes first
tip of the land where oceans swallow the earth

where is the tip, where is the end
broken objects tipping over in the wind
the tip of your toes and the tip of your head
meaningless words, all tips broken

before you reach the end you receive the tip

“Elephant Ears Missing” – Song By: Ronnie and Heather Whitley Gibson

This is an older song of ours and it’s not the best recording we have. We lost the master file to the song so we do plan on re-recording it asap. When the song came out it got a lot of attention and opened a lot of eyes on just what kind of songs we could write. Please feel free to leave some feedback. Thanks and enjoy!

“Outlets” – Song By: Ronnie & Heather Whitley Gibson

your putting on makeup to get another face
do you open doors with the changes you make
you can overload if your plugged into the wall
sending a donation, or joining a cause

are you careless when you kiss
everybody has their own regrets
feeling with your fingertips
light another cigarette
does it make you nervous when you have to turn to one of your outlets

we all walk the balance beam, we all fall down
trapped inside the universe and stars are all around
when you have to talk to strangers do you change your voice
making a decision when you have no choice

absorbing what’s around you, all you give is what you get
maybe read a good book
you enjoy the silence
wear it like a uniform
everybody has their outlets

working all day long, money has a lot of value
someone is a taker, and the people are a part of you
can you sit still when nothing’s getting done
is your clothing comfortable, your words are like a gun

anything can happen saying what they want to hear
use your sense of smell, using your eyes, using your ears
be careful what you do because your to close to the sun
we all need our outlets

do you need brand new shoes because you want to run away
does the wind embrace you
when you sing a sad song
did the wind erase you
we all need outlets

we all walk the balance beam, we all fall down
trapped inside the universe and stars are all around
when you have to talk to strangers do you change your voice
making a decision when you have no choice

anything can happen saying what they want to hear
use your sense of smell, using your eyes, using your ears

we all need outlets

“Heather” – Song By: Ronnie Gibson

No more lonely nights
as we walk threw life together
she’s the kind of girl
that changes daily like the weather
has ups and downs
I’ll take her smiles and her frowns
Heather

She’s the woman puts you first
no matter situations
I learned right away
that this is not infatuation
she’s just a girl
that absolutely rules my world
Heather

Time is passing by
and everyday our love grows stronger
the times I sat alone
wondering why are no longer
said she’d be mine
be mine until the end of time
Heather

No more lonely nights
as we walk threw life together
she’s the kind of girl
that changes daily like the weather
